A lovely shell pendant, Sepik, Papua New Guinea

The halfmoon shaped pendant were worn by men on special occasions, dance and other feasts. This piece was collected by the late Marsha Berman, who made a video documentary about the SingSing Tumbuan (Mask dance) in the Mandag province, North East New Guinea.
